Though their musical styles were very different, Edith Piaf, Amalia Rodrigues, and Maria Tănase had one thing in common: their powerful, haunting voices defined an entire era in European music. In fact, Rodrigues has been referred to as the “Edith Piaf of Portugal,” while Tănase is often called “Romania’s Edith Piaf.”
Join singer Robin Kallsen and the Marianne Quartet (Jennie Mayer, guitar; Alicia DeJoie, violin; Rachael Contorer, bass; and Karin Kajita, piano) at North City Bistro for an unforgettable evening of songs famously sung by these three incredible women!

Robin and Laura's first double-header show at the Royal Room was a hit, so they're coming back with another show in October!
Expect another beautiful night of emotional boleros, dreamy bossas, and wildly creative jazz standards. Featuring Dan Kramlich on piano, Kyle Doran on drums, Osama Afifi on bass, and Rob Lowe on guitar.
